Top Ten in Asia

Singapore finished 8^th out of 21 Asian countries which participated in 2^nd Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships held on 5 May 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. As expected, Korea, Vietnam and Iran took the top three places.

The 6^th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships will be held on 9 and 10 June 2012 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

New Guidelines for Supplementary Grading

The number of requests for supplementary grading has increased substantially over the years causing lots of challenges for the Secretariat. These include last minute applications – that is a day or two before the grading and requests for the tests to be conducted on the same day by a few clubs.

The National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships were successful completed on 23 April 2012 with participants from the various Junior Colleges shouting themselves hoarse with their respective college cheers.

Participation and Achievement Certificates

As the registration period for the Unarmed Combat Course (Level 1) was affected by the closure of the Secretariat due to the National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships, there will not be any penalty fee for participants who register by Friday 27 April 2012.
