STF 49th Annual General Meeting 2026 Announcement

Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is pleased to announce that the STF 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at 2:00pm at STF Bedok National Training Centre with four (4) Board Members elected by 82 out of 82 voting members.

The four (4) Board Members are as follows:

We look forward to the continuous trust and partnership with all in the Taekwondo community, Singapore National Olympic Council and Sport Singapore to further promote and develop Taekwondo in Singapore.

The new STF Board hosted an appreciation luncheon for the Secretariat staff, expressing gratitude for their ongoing dedication and support.

The AGM will be held in person on 5 September 2026 (Saturday) at 2.00pm at the STF Bedok National Training Centre. Lunch will be served from 12.30pm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.   For Foundation to Red 2, grading can only be done by qualified Grading Assessors who have successfully completed the Grading Assessor Accreditation Course and have applied for a valid Assessor licence.
2.   Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours. 
3.   Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.
4    For ALL candidates who are going for 1st Dan/Poom & above, please have the following documents during submission:
a)   Candidate’s grading card
b)   1 recent IC / passport photograph of the candidate
c)    Form B (duly completed)

Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.

  1. Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.
  • The last day of submission (Junior Red 1 & above, Senior Red 1 & above) is on 1 October 2026 (Thursday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
  • Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 2 Oct 2026 (Friday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission within grace period. The charges are as follows:

  • A roll call will be taken at 1pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 9am for 1st dan going for 2nd dan, 2nd dan going for 3rd dan. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
  • Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
  • Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
  • While STF will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of the grading procedure, Candidates will take all reasonable steps to ensure their own safety at all times and will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or any of its servants, employees or agents responsible for any such injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading,

SUPPLEMENTARY GRADING

  1. For clubs that wish to conduct supplementary grading for Junior 1st Poom to 4th Poom, a minimum number of 25 candidates is required.
  2. Please register with the STF Secretariat by 1 October 2026 (Thursday).
  3. An examiner will be assigned by the Federation after the closing date.

COLOUR BELTS

  1. The last day of submission for colour belts (club grading) is on17 November 2026 (Tuesday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
  • An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.

SENIOR 4TH DAN & ABOVE

1.    For those that are doing feats (senior 5th and 6th Dan), please submit to the grading department via email (stf.grading@gmail.com) on what you are going to perform for your feats before 1 October 2026 (Thursday)

2.     For the thesis component, candidates have to submit their thesis latest by 6 November 2026 (Friday). Thesis have to be emailed in to stf.grading@gmail.com

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION – MR. JAHANGIR KHAN GAFFOOR

Mr Jahangir Khan Gaffoor is involved in a Safe Sport investigation and he has been placed on the SportSG’s Safe Sport Watchlist. His National Registry of Coaches (NROC) membership is not suspended as it has expired.

As an interim measure only (without any determination whatsoever by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) of liability or misconduct on his part, Mr Jahangir Khan Gaffoor is temporarily suspended from all Singapore Taekwondo Federation activities. His suspension shall be in effect until the conclusion of the aforesaid investigation. The STF will review the results of the investigation before taking any further action.

Take notice that nothing herein, whether express or implied, is to be taken as a finding (or allegation) by the STF of any misconduct by Mr Jahangir Khan Gaffoor.

As Mr Jahangir Khan Gaffoor is currently non contactable, the STF is assisting the Peoples Association and the parents of his trainees regarding their grading cards.

Registration Now Open: SG Coach Taekwondo Level 2 (Full Integration) – First Come, First Served

Singapore Coach Excellence (SG Coach) Taekwondo Level 2 Full Integration Program comprises of SG Coach Theory Level 2, Intermediate Sport Science (ISS) & Taekwondo Technical Components.

The course will be conducted with a combination of online modules, practical sessions and assessments. Full attendance is required to meet the course requirements.

Registration closes on Monday, 24 August 2026 at 4:00pm. As slots are limited, registrations will be confirmed upon verification of all required documents. STF reserves the right to ensure fair distribution of slots amongst the affiliate club participants.

**Please DO NOT make any payment until your registration is confirmed.
