The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) will be organizing a retreat at Turi Beach Resort in Batam for affiliate leaders to help chart the direction of the organisation for its future development.
According to the plan at hand, the group will leave early on Saturday 25 April and return on the last ferry on Sunday 26 April 2009. The programme for the retreat includes, but not limited to, brainstorming sessions and discussions to put up a strategic plan which will help bring the STF to another level where it can better position itself to achieve its vision and mission more efficiently and effectively.
The theme of the event: “Towards a better STF”.
The STF believes that the event will also provide a good opportunity for affiliate leaders to develop the sense of ownership of the organisation and to foster a stronger bond of camaraderie among them.
The trip will cost about $300 per head. It will be absorbed by the STF in full for all ordinary affiliate leaders – one per registered affiliate. Leaders mean the key decision-makers of the affiliates.
Affiliate leaders are requested to register their interest in attending the retreat by Wednesday 4 March 2009. Only those who are sure that they can make the trip need to register as a full refund of the expenses will be required for absentees.
Family members and club members may join the trip at their own expense. The STF will help to make the necessary arrangement for their convenience. Club members – especially those who are young, articulate and brimming with ideas – are welcome to participate in the brainstorming sessions and discussions.
Don’t miss the chance of having your voices heard for a better STF. Make your opinions count!
