The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is pleased to announce that the Jeonju Vision University Taekwondo Demonstration Team from South Korea will be putting up a special performance at the upcoming Singapore Open Taekwondo Championships.
Led by Professor Kim Sun-jung, the team will showcase the full artistry and athleticism of Korean taekwondo — from precision poomsae and dynamic board-breaking techniques to creative fusion performances that blend traditional Korean martial arts with contemporary movement arts.
About the Jeonju Vision University Demonstration Team:
Established in 2004, the Jeonju Vision University Taekwondo & Physical Education Department has built an outstanding reputation both domestically and internationally:
- 1,000+ performances staged across Korea and overseas
- 30+ national demonstration team members produced Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the 2023 Seongnam World Taekwondo Hanmadang
- 1st Place at the Muju Taekwondo Culture Festival (2019)
- Team 3rd Place, Individual Silver at the 53rd National University Taekwondo Championships (2026)
- Overseas performances in China (Dalian) as part of the RISE Project K-Taekwoon global exchange initiative
- Featured performances at the National Jeonju Museum — “K-Taekwondo, Knock the World” (2024, 2026)
