9 Days of National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships Ends with Success

The 2016 National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships were held from 12 to 15 and 18 to 21 April 2016 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

It had been a hectic but exciting 9 days of intense and zestful competition for students and officials.  But every moment was worth it as the event was successfully and breezefully conducted.

The tournament saw Jurong Junior College bagged the overall title for the Male ‘A’ Divison for the first time beating some of the colleges who had previously dominated the event while Springfield Seconday School reigned in the ‘B’ and ‘C’ poomsae divisions.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) appreciates the support of teachers, officials, referees, medical team and volunteers, especially Mr Darren Ng (Physical & Sports Eduction Officer, Sports Education, PESEB, MOE), throughout the competition period.  Without their tireless devotion to the operations of the competition, it would not have been possible for the championships to be stage.

The overall positions and results for Primary, ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Divisons are attached.

Congratulations to all students on their achievements!
