An open selection of players for nominations to the Singapore National Olympic Council for the 25th SEA Games taekwondo event in December 2009 in Laos will be held as follows.

All players from affiliated clubs of the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) are invited to participate in the trial.
Coaches who are interested in fielding players for the selection are required to complete the attached form and submit it to the Secretariat on or before the closing date. The STF reserve the right not to accept late submission.
There is no limit to the number of players a club can send for the trial. However, they must be Singapore Citizens to qualify for participation.
Registered players for the trial are to report at the National Training Centre at 1.00pm and 2.00pm SHARP for the weigh-in and selection trial respectively.They shall be considered for the category based on their actual weight on that day of the weigh-in and not according to the weight submitted in the form. No weight allowance will be given.
Players from this trial will be eligible for the final trial if they fulfill the training requirements from the time they were shortlisted. The final trial is scheduled to be held on 29 March 2009.
Selected players will be given opportunities to develop their skills further through exposures in international competitions.
The selection trial and Player’s Undertaking forms are attached. The Player’s Undertaking form must be signed by parents for players under the age of 21 years old.
Players will not be allowed to participate in the selection trials if they do not comply with the administrative requirements.
