Prof Tan Cheng Han, Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) Advisor, visited the National Training Centre on Wednesday 7 April 2010 in his capacity as a member of the Singapore Youth Sports Development Committee to observe the training of the youth players preparing for the Youth Olympic Games.
He was welcomed by STF President Milan Kwee and other officials including Mr Yong Teck Chuan, Singapore Sports Council Relationship Manager.
Prof Tan, who is a blackbelt taekwondo practitioner, was not only happy with what he saw but also eager to join in if he could.
In his brief talk to the national squad members, he said that he would love to join their training if he had his uniform. He went on to encourage the players to train hard and wish them well.
STF President took the opportunity to inform Prof Tan of the latest development and consult him on various matters for the betterment of the organization.
