Mr Milan Kwee, STF President, met seven senior taekwondo exponents, who aspired to be examiners, on 24 April 2007 to brief them on the qualities and responsibilities of an examiner. He said that, if they had the qualifications and what it took to be an examiner, they might apply for the position.
The minimum qualifications required to be an examiner are as follows.
- 5th dan
- National Kyorugi Referee (Class 1)
- National Poomsae Referee (Class 1)
- Poomsae Coach (Level 3)
- NCAP Technical (Level 2)
- 2 years of contribution to the Federation
Mr Kwee stressed that having the qualifications would not be enough. Candidates had to have character, compassion and the ability to work as a team.
The Federation would like to invite qualified senior exponents to apply for appointment as examiner.
