The Global Management System (GMS) annual licence for year 2024 is now open for registration as the current GMS licence will expiry end of December 2023.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) invites affiliated members who wish to renew or apply for the GMS annual licence to submit your application through your clubs.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) encourages all its Poom and Black belt holders, especially those who wishes to participate in international competitions and seminars, to apply for Kukkiwon Certification.
Those who are interested to apply for Kukkiwon Certification should apply through their respective clubs. The current rates including administrative fees is S$125 for 1st Dan and onwards for the higher Dans.
Please submit your application(s) latest by Tuesday, 12 December 2023 for processing in 2023 The application form is available in the form folder on STF website. Please contact Jolene and Audrey at 63451491 if you require clarifications on the conversion process and the rates.
Please be informed Kukkiwon certificates issued through STF bear the signatures of both the Kukkiwon President and STF President. Kukkiwon certificates without the signature of the STF President are not recognised by the STF. Any holders of such certificates will not be
able to receive the support and/or recommendation of STF for participation in competitions, courses and related activities organised or sanctioned by the following organisations:
- International Olympic Committee (IOC)
- Olympic Council of Asia (OCA)
- World Taekwondo (WT)
All qualified members of STF-affiliated clubs are encouraged to apply for the certification as soon as possible after the announcement of their grading results so that they are able to continue to maintain their Kukkiwon ranking seniority.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. For Foundation to R2, grading can only be done by qualified Grading Assessors who have successfully completed the Grading Assessor Accreditation Course and have applied for a valid Assessor licence.
2. Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.
3. Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.
4 For ALL candidates who are going for 1st Dan/Poom & above, please have the following documents during submission:
a) Candidate’s grading card
b) 1 recent IC / passport photograph of the candidate
c) Form B (duly completed)
Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.
- Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.
- The last day of submission (Junior Red 1 & above, Senior Red 1 to 3rd Dan) is on 19 DECEMBER 2023 (Tuesday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
- Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 20 December 2023 (Wednesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission within grace period. The charges are as follows:

GRADING COMMITTEE
- A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
- Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
- Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
- While STF will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of the grading procedure, Candidates will take all reasonable steps to ensure their own safety at all times and will not hold the Federation, the Grading Committee or any of its servants, employees or agents responsible for any such injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading,

SUPPLEMENTARY GRADING
- For clubs that wish to conduct supplementary grading for Junior 1st Poom to 4th Poom, a minimum number of 25 candidates is required.
- Please register with the STF Secretariat by 27 DECEMBER 2023 (WEDNESDAY).
- An examiner will be assigned by the Federation after the closing date.
COLOUR BELTS
- The last day of submission for colour belts is on 30 JANUARY 2024 (TUESDAY). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
- An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.
NEXT CENTRALISED GRADING
The 192nd Centralised Grading will be tentatively scheduled on 7 April 2024. Details will be shared nearer to the date.

Singapore Taekwondo Federation Open Selections 2024 – Extension Of Registration Closing Date Until 14 November 2023, 23:59hr
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) Open Selections 2024 registration closing date has been extended to 14 November 2023, 23:59hr.

Interested members are to submit their application by the due date.
The registration closing date will be strictly adhered to, and no walk-in application will be accepted.
Foundation Grading
This is to update members that the following age requirement will be implemented for the Foundation Grading Syllabus with effect from 1 January 2024:
The age requirement for the Foundation Grading Syllabus shall be lowered to six (6) years old and below (based on calendar year) with effect from 1 January 2024.
Examples:
- If a student under 12 years old, achieved 1-Star or 2-Star currently, the candidate can opt to complete the foundation grading syllabus before 1 January 2024.
- From 1 January 2024 onwards, all candidates above seven (7) years of age (based on calendar year) will start at W10.
Signing Of Grading Cards
Grading Accessors are NOT to initial/sign any grading cards for double promotion for colour-belt.
The endorsement on the grading cards should be left bank. Video must be sent for review for double promotion.
Upon the confirmation of double promotion for colour-belt, Chairman of Grading Sub-Committee or Chairman of Technical Committee will endorse the grading cards.
This is with immediate effect from 1 November 2023 onwards
Riyadh 2023 World Combat Games

The Riyadh 2023 World Combat Games was held from 28 to 30 October 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Taekwondo was one of the 17 martial arts and combat sports that was competed during the three day spectacular.
For Taekwondo, the top 10 athletes from the Goyang 2022 world Taekwondo Poomsae Championships were invited to participate in the Games. Yap Zong Han Darren, who was 7th in the Men’s Individual Freestyle Poomsae in Goyang, represented Singapore.
Building on his excellent performances in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia and 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, Darren finished in 3rd place with a score of 9.10 to take home the bronze medal!
Congratulations to Darren for his continuing excellence and his achievement in the Riyadh 2023 World Combat Games! Special thanks to the dedicated Coach Lee Na Lee who accompanied Darren for the championships!
Our gratitude is also extended to the generosity of the Organising Committee, World Taekwondo, SNOC, SportSG and the Taekwondo fraternity for the endless support.
