IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.    Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.

2.    Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.

3.    For ALL candidates who are going for Red 1 & above, please have the following documents during submission:

a.    Candidate’s grading card

b.    1 photocopy of the candidate’s Identity Card (front & back) / Birth Certificate (for candidate below age of 12)

c.    2 recent IC / passport photographs of the candidate

d.    Form B (duly completed)

***Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.

4.    Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.

5.    The last day of submission is on 20 MARCH 2017 (MONDAY). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.

6.    Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 21 March 2017 (Tuesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission. The charges are as follows:

7.    An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.

8.    A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.

9.    Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.

10.  Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.

11.  Candidates will be taking the grading at their own risk and therefore will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or anyone so concerned, responsible for any injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading.

2017 Nestle Koko Krunch Program & Blank Fixtures

The blank fixtures for the 2017 Nestle Koko Krunch tournament are attached.

All participating clubs are advised to send at least one representative for the briefing and drawing of lots which will be held on Saturday 18 February 2017 from 6.30pm at the STF National Training Centre.

Club officials are reminded that the following is strictly not allowed.

–  Employ coaches from other clubs to coach their members during the competition.

–  Field their members under other clubs.

Participants will be disqualified if coaches from their clubs are not available to accompany them to the arena. It will not be acceptable to use the excuse that the participant’s coach is at another court as the competition cannot be delayed. 


Please bring along a copy of the blank fixtures.  All amendments or corrections must be made before the commencement of the draws.


Participating clubs that have not submitted the referees’ names must do so before the commencement of the meeting.

New Procedure for the National School Championships

New Procedure for the National School Championships

In the past, participants in the National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships are required to obtain the grading cards from their respective clubs for their schools to scan when they register for the competition. This has resulted in a lot of inconvenience for the schools and the participants.

After a review of the procedure, clubs will now collect all the entry forms from their members and verify their grades. This process will make it easier for the schools and at the same time provide safe guard against missing grading cards.

Sending parents with the grading cards and entry forms to STF office is easy but it certainly does not reflect well on the quality of service. Going the extra mile for your members is the taekwondo way.

We encourage all clubs to support their members in their participation. As the saying goes: ‘If you do not take care of your members, other people will.’

2017 National School Games Taekwondo Championships

The National School Games Taekwondo Championships (Primary, A B & C Divisions) will be held as follows at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

–  Primary Divisions (Poomsae ) – Tuesday & Wednesday 11 & 12 April 2017

–  Primary Divisions (Kyorugi) – Wednesday & Thursday 12 & 13 April 2017

–  B & C Divisions (Poomsae) – Monday & Tuesday 17 & 18 April 2017

–  B & C Divisions (Kyorugi) – Wednesday & Thursday 19 & 20 April 2017

–  A Division (Poomsae) – Thursday & Friday 20 & 21 April 2017

All registrations must be made online through the students’ schools during the eregistration period till 10 March 2017.  No submission, except for the Mixed Team events, will be accepted at the STF Secretariat.

Coaches are advised to use the hard copy forms attached to the Outlines for collation of data from athletes and submit to the school’s teacher-in-charge to facilitate the smooth flow of registering their students.

All the general rules and outlines pertaining to the competition are attached.

NCAP (Level 1) Retest Results (November 2016)

The results for the NCAP (Level 1) retest held on Saturday 11 February 2016 at the STF National Training Centre are attached.

Participants who are successful at the retest may register for the NCAP (Level 2) Technical Course by Wednesday 15 February 2017.  Otherwise, late payment would be applicable.

Please note that they will have to meet the following requirements.

–       Form A MUST be submitted to the STF office by Friday 24 February 2017.  The practicial attachment can only commence after the submission of Form A.

–       Practical attachment MUST be completed by Monday 31 July 2017.

Successful NCAP (L1) Participants May Attend NCAP (L2) Technical Course

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation had received numerous appeals from affiliates to allow successful participants who have not completed the practical attachment to attend the February 2017 NCAP (Level 2) Technical Course.

It was decided that they may attend the course but will have to meet the following requirements.

–       Form A MUST be submitted to the STF office by Friday 24 February 2017.  The practical attachment can only commence after the submission of Form A.

–       Practical attachment MUST be completed by Monday 31 July 2017.

Those who have successfully completed the NCAP (Level 2) course will only be given the qualification after they have fulfilled the above requirements. Failing which it would be considered null and void.

Participants with ‘Pending’ results and have resubmitted the lesson plan may also apply for the course.

Registration for the course will close on Monday 13 February 2017.

Please note that this exemption should not be taken as a precedent.

Affiliates are advised to encourage their members to be qualified at their earliest convenience.

*Further announcement will be made on Saturday 11 February 2017 to participnts who will be taking the retest.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation intends to field Junior & Cadet kyorugi and poomsae players for the following competitions and will be conducting open selection trials for the tournaments and invites all affiliates to participate in both kyorugi and poomsae events.

All participants must be SINGAPORE CITIZENS and are STF poom or black belt holders.

Please fill in the attached forms and submit them to the Secretariat by Wednesday 8 February 2017.  There is no limit to the number of players each affiliate can field. We reserve the right not to accept late submission, incomplete forms or registration without the necessary supporting documents.

Registered Kyorugi players for the trials are to report at the STF National Training Centre by 11.00am for weigh-in. Poomsae players are to report by 12.00pm.

Kyorugi players shall be considered for the category based on their actual weight on the day of the weigh-in and not according to the weight submitted in the form as we do not want to disqualify any players. No weight allowance will be given.

Selected players will be required to fulfil the training requirements averaging 12 hours per week once the results of the selection are announced.  They will also be required to apply for the WTF Global Athlete Licence and Kukkiwon certificate.

The panel of selectors will comprise any of the following senior technical members.

–       Mr Steven Soh
–       Mr RA Jeyaraman
–       Mr Lee Thiam Poh
–       Mr Tan Cheng Hui
–       Mr Tan Kok Heng

The player’s undertaking form is also attached. The form must be signed by parents for all players.  Players will not be allowed to participate in the trials if they do not comply with the administrative requirements.

The trials would be open for observation by participants and the registered accompanying coaches only.
