The NCAP (Level 1) Taekwondo Technical Course will be held on 19, 20, 26 & 27 November 2016 and 3 December 2016 at the STF National Training Centre.
The primary objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge of coaching taekwondo skills. On completing the course, participants will be able to organize practice sessions which are safe and challenging for taekwondo athletes.
Additional information on the course is attached.
The registration form is available in the Forms folder.
Clubs organizing supplementary grading are reminded to ensure that
· the grading area is safe and adequate for the conduct of the assessments,
· the physical arrangement is appropriate for the activity,
· the parents are given a comfortable place to wait for their children if they are not allowed to watch the grading, and
· the candidates do not have to wait too long to be graded.
Organizers of supplementary grading should find out from Jolene the examiners assigned to their respective centers. If the examiners do not turn up 15 minutes before the start of the grading, they should call the examiners immediately. If the examiners cannot be reached, organizers should call Sebastian Lee (Grading Chairman) at 9768 8418 for alternative arrangement.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) will also provide the contact numbers of organizers to the examiners so that they will be in communication if there are unforeseen circumstances.
It is the responsibility of all organizers to report to STF Secretariat by email if any examiner is late for his or her assignment.
This is necessary because the STF has no tolerance for tardiness on the part of its examiners as it will not only incur the wrath of the parents but also tarnish the image of the other examiners and the STF. What’s more, the candidates’ performances may be adversely affected.
The STF would like to take this opportunity to put on record its appreciation to all coaches, parents and candidates for their patience and understanding and apologies if they have been distressed or inconvenient in any way during the grading.
All club officials, parents and parents are advised to take note of the following information on the Centralized Grading which will be held on Sunday 16 October 2016 at ITE College Central.
Parking
Parking is free. Plese do not park indiscriminately.
Grading Venue
The grading will be conducted in the indoor sports hall which is located in Block F (Level 4). There will be directional signs leading to the hall.
An easier way to the hall would be to look out for the Subway outlet. Take the escalator next to the outlet which will lead directly to Level 4.
A map of ITE College Central, which includes the available buses to the institution, is attached.
If you require any further clarification or information, you may contact Mr Sebastian Lee (Grading Chairman) at 978 8418 or the Secretariat at 6345 1491.
