We are pleased to announce that all the participants who had attended the special Poomsae Coach training session, held on Wednesday 2 April 2014 at the STF National Training Centre, had successfully completed the course.
Those who are interested to participate in the Poomsae Referee Course may register on the spot at 5.00pm. The fee payable is $80 (late payment wii be waived for this group only).
Please submit a completed registration form, which is available in the Forms folder, together with your payment.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) Secretariat will be closed from 14 to 24 April 2014 as all the staff will be involved in the National Inter-Schools Championships which will be held during the period at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
For urgent matters, you may call upon the staff at the Sports Hall.

Coaches are advised to check if their students are in the correct categories.
The briefing and drawing of lots will be held on Friday 4 April 2014 at 4.15pm at the STF National Training Centre at Block 80 Lorong Limau #04-191 Singapore 320080.
Please send at least 1 representative for the briefing.
Students who have not had their grades verified are requested to make sure that is done before the briefing. Otherwise, the students may be disqualified. There will be no refund of fees for disqualified students.
The Poomsae Coach Course retest results were delayed as the examiners required more time to re-evaluate some of the participants’ performance.

The STF has decided to give participants who had attended the retest and whose names are not listed above a final opportunity to qualify as a poomsae coach.
A special session will be conducted on Wednesday 2 April 2014 at 7.30pm at the STF National Training Centre. The fee for the session is $20. If the examiners are satisfied with the performance, they will be awarded the qualification.
Please register with the STF at 6345 1491 by Monday 31 March 2014. Payment may be made before the session at the venue. On the spot registration will not be accepted.
A total of 38 players (10 poomsae and 28 kyorugi) have been shortlisted to undergo training for opportunities to compete in international tournaments for 2014.

Shortlisted players will be required to fulfill the training requirements averaging 12 hours per week to qualify for each competition final selection. Players who are not selected to compete in any international tournaments must continue to train to fulfill the training requirements to be eligible for future trials.
However, club officials may still send in their recommendations for their players to be included in the training squads if they feel that the players have the potential to excel internationally.
The final selection trials for the Asian Championships (for those born in 1997 or earlier) will be held on Saturday 19 April 2014 at 7.30pm at the STF National Training Centre. Weigh-in for kyorugi players will commence at 5.00pm.
All shortlisted players are requested to report for briefing and training on Friday 28 March 2014 at 7.30pm at the STF National Training Centre.
The STF has received numerous calls from club officials to conduct a Poomsae Referee Course before the National Inter-School.
It has been decided to hold the course on 5 and 6 April 2014 at the STF National Training Centre.Black belt holders who wished to officiate at the National Inter-School 2014 and all STF-sanctioned poomsae tournaments should take this opportunity to gain the qualification as the next course is scheduled to be held in 2015.

The Nanyang Technological University retains its overall top position in the NTU Taekwondo Open Championships which were held on 8 and 9 March 2014 at its premises.
STF President, Mr Milan Kwee, was present on the first day of the event to officially open the tournament.
