The 6th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships, sanctioned by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation and organized by J H Kim Taekwondo Institute (Bukit Timah), will be held on 1 & 2 December 2018 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
Affiliate members will have an opportunity to compete with foreign athletes, including those from the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, in the tournament to be held in Singapore.

STF Patron Kris Wiluan, who is also the President of the Asean Taekwondo Federation (ATF), was conferred with the Honorary 6th Dan Black Belt by Kukkiwon President Oh Hyun Deuk on Thursday 2 August 2018 at Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters.
Mr Wiluan has been the ATF President for more than 30 years and was a former WT Council Member and Executive Council Member of Taekwondo Indonesia. His contributions to the development of taekwondo in Asean and the rest of the world is commendable. The taekwondo community in the Asean region looks forward to his continued dedication to the sport.
The award ceremony was witnessed by Kukkiwon Chairman Hong Sung Chon and Mrs Elizabeth Wiluan.
On behalf of the taekwondo community in Singapore, we congratulate the accolade received by Mr Wiluan.
Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.
Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.
For ALL candidates who are going for Red 1 & above, please have the following documents during submission:
a) Candidate’s grading card b) 1 photocopy of the candidate’s Identity Card (front & back) / Birth Certificate (for candidate below age of 12) c) 2 recent IC / passport photographs of the candidate d) Form B (duly completed)
Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.
The last day of submission is on 17 SEPT 2018 (MONDAY) . Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 18 Sept 2018 (Tuesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission. The charges are as follows:

50% of the grading fee payable by candidates for their respective grades.
An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.
A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
Candidates will be taking the grading at their own risk and therefore will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or anyone so concerned, responsible for any injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading.

The program and start list for the 2018 PA-STF Taekwondo Championships, which will be held on 21 & 22 July 2018 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall, are attached.
Club officials are reminded that only coaches with passes are allowed to enter the field of play with their players.
Male and female players are required to wear the following equipment on entering the arena: head gear (blue or red only), trunk protector, forearm guard, shin guard, groin guard, gloves and mouth piece. KPNP PSS will be used for all categories. Headgear with face shield (Blue or Red only) or E- Headgear, Trunk protector, E-Socks, Groin guard, Forearm guard, Shin guard, Gloves and Mouthpiece ( option for headgear with face shield ) will be provided.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) would be organizing focus group discussions on Friday 27 July 2018 from 7.00pm to 10.00pm at the STF National Training Centre to engage the community and stakeholders who are prepared to give constructive feedback and ideas on improving the high performance.
The 2 discussion sessions are as follows.
Session 1
7:00pm-8:30pm
Proposed participants: Current members of the National Squad/National Development Squad, their parents and coaches.
Session 2
8:30pm-10:00pm
Proposed participants: MC members (past and present), examiners, international referees, national referees, affiliate Leaders, ex-members of the National Squad/National Development Squad.
Interested participants may register with the STF at 6345 1491 by Monday 23 July 2018.
While participants must understand that not every feedback and idea can be practically implemented, the STF will try to gather the best workable ideas from our collective wisdom to forge the best way forward.
The briefing and drawing of lots for the 2018 PA-STF Taekwondo Championships will be held on Sunday 15 July 2018 at 6.30pm at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall (after the centralized grading).
