Singapore Taekwondo Federation 47th Annual General Meeting 2024 Announcement
Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is pleased to announce that the STF 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Sunday, 15 September 2024 at 7.30pm at STF Bedok National Training Centre with six (6) Board Members elected by 67 out of 82 voting members.

Team Singapore Virtual Taekwondo Shines at Muju Taekwondowon 2024 International Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships
Team Singapore Virtual Taekwondo delivered a stellar performance at the Muju Taekwondowon 2024 International Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships, under the guidance of Team Managers Mr. Johnny Lim and Mr. Alvin Tan and Trainer Mr. Cullen Ang. The Championships showcases Virtual Taekwondo – a non-combat sport which replicates the movements of Taekwondo as athletes wear a headset and AXIS system to compete in a virtual space, regardless of age or gender.
The first day of the Championships saw Team Singapore Virtual Taekwondo making an impressive debut. The squad, comprising Justin Peh, Ng Tze Shayne, Nigel Tan Wei Reng, Tan Jia Wei, Lim Zi Wei, Janelle Chia, and Daycia Low, competed in both the Individual Male and Female events. The team’s efforts were rewarded with remarkable success. Justin Peh clinched the Gold medal in the Individual Male event, while Tan Jia Wei secured the Gold in the Individual Female event. In addition, Lim Zi Wei and Janelle Chia earned Silver and Bronze medals, respectively, in the Individual Female category.
The second day of the Championships further showcased Team Singapore Virtual Taekwondo’s dominance. Tan Jia Wei once again shone brightly, achieving Gold in the Individual Mixed Category while Lim Zi Wei and Justin Peh added to the medal tally with Silver and Bronze, respectively. With two female athletes and one male athlete on the podium, the mixed category reinforced that Virtual Taekwondo is a sport which is accessible to all irrespective of gender.
The highlight of the Championships came with Team Singapore’s triumph in the Senior Mixed Team event, the team emerged victorious, overcoming the team from Korea to claim the Gold medal. Team Singapore’s exceptional performance at the Muju Taekwondowon 2024 International Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships has set a new benchmark for Virtual Taekwondo. Their impressive medal haul and successful display in both individual and team events highlight the sport’s potential and the dedication of the athletes. The success of Team Singapore Virtual Taekwondo would not be possible without the support from various stakeholders.
STF would like to extend our gratitude to the generosity of the Organising Committee, World Taekwondo, SNOC, SportSG and the Taekwondo fraternity for the endless support. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For Foundation to R2, grading can only be done by qualified Grading Assessors who have successfully completed the Grading Assessor Accreditation Course and have applied for a valid Assessor licence.
- Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.
Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached
- For ALL candidates who are going for 1st Dan/Poom & above, please have the following documents during submission:
a) Candidate’s grading card
b) 1 recent IC / passport photograph of the candidate
c) Form B (duly completed)
Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.
- Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.
- The last day of submission (Junior Red 1 & above, Senior Red 1 to 3rd Dan) is on 24 Sept 2024 (Tuesday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
- Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 25 Sept 2024 (Wednesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission within grace period. The charges are as follows:

GRADING DEPARTMENT
- A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
- Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
- Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
- While STF will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of the grading procedure, Candidates will take all reasonable steps to ensure their own safety at all times and will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or any of its servants, employees or agents responsible for any such injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading.

SUPPLEMENTARY GRADING
- For clubs that wish to conduct supplementary grading for Junior 1st Poom to 4th Poom, a minimum number of 25 candidates is required.
- Please register with the STF Secretariat by 24 September 2024 (Tuesday).
- An examiner will be assigned by the Federation after the closing date.
COLOUR BELTS
- The last day of submission for colour belts (club grading) is on 8 November 2024 (Friday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
- An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above
SENIOR 4TH DAN & ABOVE
- The schedule of the grading will be announced after the closing date.
- For those that are doing feats (senior 5th and 6th Dan), please submit to the grading department via email (stf.grading@gmail.com) on what you are going to perform for your feats before 18 Oct 2024 (Friday).
- For the thesis component, candidates have to submit their thesis latest by 15 Nov 2024 (Friday). Thesis have to be emailed in to stf.grading@gmail.com

Please be informed there will be an election for SIX (6) Board Member positions at this year’s AGM instead of five Board Members announced on 8 August 2024. This is due to resignation of one Board Member after the announcement.
