A primary school teacher complimented Tony Ng and Ronald Lim who had kindly extended their unselfish assistance to him and his school during the recently concluded National School Games Taekwondo Championships.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is delighted that he has taken time and effort to show his gratitude. Although the conduct of Tony and Ronald is expected of STF-certified coaches, it is nevertheless commendable.
Coaches should be mindful of their conduct as their actions – good or bad – will affect the image of the sport and organization. Therefore, they should act conscientiously to reflect their professionalism at all times so that the integrity of the sport and organization will not be undermined.
Here is an extract of his letter of appreciation.
“This is to compliment Mr Tony Ng and Mr Ronald, officials from the Singapore Taekwondo Federation, who had kindly extended their assistance to my school at the recent National Schools Games (Primary).
On 11th April, I reported at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall with my student athletes for their Poomsae Competition Events. When it was my student’s turn to perform her Poomsae routine, Mr Tony Ng managed to arrange for his assistant, Mr Ronald, to stand in as my student’s coach for her competition because her coach was needed somewhere else. I was grateful to both Mr Tony Ng and Mr Ronald, whose altruistic acts had helped create a positive learning experience for my student.
