The PSS will only be used on 30 and 31 August 2014 but the Video Replay will be implemented for all 4 days of competition.
Recycled sensing socks will be provided. If the competitors are concerned with the hygiene, they may purchase the socks at the venue at S$90 each.

Each club must provide at least one volunteer for each competition day.
Clubs without referees will be barred from the competition and action will be taken against them.
The STF will be conducting a second review session for referees who are unable to attend the first session.
The second review session will be held in Wednesday 27 August 2014 from 7.30pm at STF National Training Centre.
However, referees who do not attend the first session will not be eligible to officiate on 23 and 24 August 2014.
Please note that the review session on Friday 22 August 2014 will start at 7.30pm.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is aiming to bring the standard of referee to that of the players and coaches. One of the areas which need attention is the understanding of the interpretations of the rules.
The outcome of the theory test conducted at the seminar gives a compelling reason why the STF should put in more effort towards the education of its referees.
The results are attached.
A review session will be conducted at the STF National Training Centre on Friday 22 August 2014 from 7.00pm onwards.
Referees who are interested to attend the review must call the Secretariat on 6345 1491 to register.
The review fee of $20 may be paid on the day of the review. On the spot, registration is $30.
Those who obtained provisional pass must be present as there are a number of questions they need to know the correct answers. They will not be required to pay the review fee.
Referee licences will not be renewed for those who do not attend the review session including those with provisional pass.
The team managers briefing and drawing of lots for the Ambassador Cup National Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships will be held on Sunday 17 August 2014 at 4.00pm at the STF National Training Centre.

Please print a copy of the blank fixtures for the briefing. Club officials are advised to check the competitors’ names and their events for any mistakes. Any amendments or verifications must be made before the drawing of lots.
The Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar will be held on Sunday 10 August 2014 from 9.00am to 1.00pm at the STF National Training Centre.
Registration will start at 8.15am. In view of the number, we would appreciate it participants can get themselves registered well before the start of the seminar.
The seminar will start at 9.00am sharp. All participants must be punctual as expected of them as referees.
Please bring along your own writing materials. The dress code is ‘dobok’.
A gentle reminder that the STF Pledge is part of the test component.
It has been brought to our attention that some club officials have been registering for courses and seminars through either by email or phone.
Our staff was simply trying to assist these club officials by accepting their submissions. They agreed to submit the registration forms and fees before the closing date.
However, the Secretariat has been facing difficulties in obtaining the forms and payments even after the courses.
Please take note that all registrations must be submitted with the relevant forms and fees at the Secretariat before the closing date. They must be endorsed by the club. Submission made by parents or students without the club endorsementwill notbe accepted. The late fees will be applicable for submission received after the closing date.
An Unarmed Combat Course (Level 1) will be conducted on 6, 7 and 13 September 2014 at the STF National Training Centre for poom and black belt holders.

Chelsea Ann Sim Shu Zhen has added another accolade to her long list of awards.
She was named Meridian Junior College Sportswoman of the Year 2014 and received the award on 19 July 2014.
Her citation reads as follows.
“As a member of the national taekwondo squad. Chelsea has shown immense grit in staying committed to rigorous training sessions and the demands of the ‘A; Level curriculum. Chelsea’s sporting achievements as a member of the college and national teams are awe-inspiring. She is a most deserving recipient of this award as she has done both the nation and college proud while also displaying enthusiasm towards her studies and doing well for the ‘A’ Level examination.
In 2012 and 2013, Chelsea represented the college in the National ‘A’ Divison Championships, Nanyang Technological University Open Championships and National Poomsae Championships, defending her title as National Champion for all her individual events. In April 2012, she represented Singapore in the Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships in Vietnam coming in 10th position for her individual event and seventh for her pair event.
In the 11th Asean Taekwondo Championships 2013, Chelsea represented Singapore and despite being the youngest competitor in her category, emerged champion. She earned a silver forthe individual poomsae in the 27th SEA Games in 2013. In the Chuncheon Korea Open 2013, Chelsea came in eighth in her pair event.
For her achievements, Chelsea was awarded the National Colours Award and EAGLES Award in 2012 and 2013. Chelsea also received the Peter Lim Sports Scholarship presented by the Singapore Olympic Foundation and the Professor Tan Teck Meng Sports Scholarship. Such accolades testify to her drive for excellence and great sportsmanship.
Despite her commitment to national squad training, Chelsea mentored her co-curricular activity teammates by taking a day off her national training to help guide her teammates before the inter-school competition. She has made the most of her student life by also participating in service-learning events such as Project Festive 2013 and in college events such as the College Road Race, Colosseum and FunFestique. She has been exemplary in her attitude towards academic challenges and has also show maturity in her interactions with her classmates and teachers. Her bubbly disposition has made her a joy to be around. It is no mean feat achieving what Chelsea has attained and she has truly been outstanding.”Congratulations, Chelsea!

If everything goes according to plan, Daedo PSS will be used for all categories.
