The STF Board and High Performance Standing Committee would like to thank the participating affiliates, athletes and coaches for being part of the Open Selection 2022.
The Primary Component (Poomsae & Kyorugi) assessment was completed over two weekends on 7 – 8 May and 14 May 2022. The Technical and Physical component assessment were then conducted on 21 & 22 May 2022. This selection procedure draws data from each individual component to compute an overall score for each candidate. Based on the scores, selected athletes are then tiered accordingly.

All selected athletes are to attend an onboarding briefing session. Please find below the details of the onboarding session:

The Secretariat Office will be handing out the Letter of Invite and Athlete Agreement to the selected athletes to join the Development Squad during the onboarding session.

We are pleased to announce our continued partnership and collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore, in promoting Taekwondo and the rich Korean culture.
The 15th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2022 – Ambassador Cup will be help on 23 – 24 July 2022 at Our Tampines Hub, Level 3 Community Auditorium.
Registration will open on Monday 20 June 2022 to Friday 24 June 2022 at the STF Secretariat during office hours (9.00am to 5.00pm – closed for lunch from 1.00pm to 2.00pm).

This brings a total of 3 Bronze Medals for Team Singapore Taekwondo. STF is very proud of the National Team for their performance and achievement.
The federation would also like to take this opportunity to recognise the dedication and hard work of the coaching team together with all the support from the wider community to making this possible!
Team Singapore Taekwondo departed on 14 May 2022 for the 31st Southeast Asian Games at Hanoi, Vietnam. Led by Team Manager Mr Johnny Lim Peng Siah, Kyorugi Coach Mr Ko Jae Pil and Poomsae Coach Ms Lee Na Lee.
