2022 National School Games Taekwondo Championships Technical Officials (Poomsae Referee)

We are pleased to announce that the National School Games (“NSG”) is back this year. 

As a landmark collaboration with MOE, we would like to shout out to all STF’s Technical Officials with Poomsae Referee qualification to join us and be part of this year NSG actions!

The competition format for this year NSG is the same as previous year with COVID-19 safe measurement measures in place therefore the refereeing shall be done through the review of video recordings of the student’s performance.

Video analysis judging will take place from 17 to 20 May 21 at PSOEB, 20 Evans Road. There will be two session of video analysis judging. You may choose to stay for both session or pick a session.

Session 1: 8.00AM – 12.30PM

Session 2: 1.00PM – 5.00PM

We will require 21 Technical officials with Poomsae Referee qualification daily (17 May – 20 May 2022) due to the strong sign-up expected for this year NSG competition. Please state in your email which session you will like to attend.

Qualified referees with valid Poomsae referee licence who are keen to sign up as Technical Officials (Poomsae Referee) and be part of the 2022 National School Games may submit your application via email to enquiry@stf.org.sg Monday 9 May 2022, 5.30PM. 

In addition, interested Technical Officials (Poomsae Referee) will have to be fully vaccinated (2 Dose + Booster) and will have to show proof of vaccination when required.

We regret that we are not able to include any late submission for registration.

The next Coach Induction Course for affiliate members who wish to obtain the coach pass will be held as follows:

Time  :  1.00pm to 3.00pm

Recitation of the STF Pledge is mandatory.

Fee  :  On or before Friday 25 March 2022, 5.00pm – $64.20

           On or after 28 March 2022 – $107.00

Dress Code  :  Dobok

Eligibility  :  At least 1st Dan Black Belt / 15 years old & above

Maximum Number of Participants: 25

On successful completion of the course, participants with a minimum NCAP (Level 1) Technical or Poomsae Coach (Level 1P) qualification may apply for the appropriate passes to accompany players to the competition area depending on the level of their pass.

Announcement on 184th Grading Exercise

Announcement on 184th Grading Exercise

184th Grading in April 2022

For Seniors (above 15 years of age and above)

The grading will be assessed on the 15th May 2022. The last day for video submission will be 5th May 2022. Criteria for grading will remain the same as the 183nd (Up to 2nd going to 3rd Dan only).

All videos for senior red 1 and above (Up to 2nd going to 3rd Dan only) must be pre-recorded and email to stf.grading@gmail.com by the 5th May 2022.  

Closing date for registration will be on 22nd April 2022 by the clubs for Senior Grading.

For Foundation and Colour belts

Foundation up to Red 2 will be graded by their respective club’s 4th Dan coaches.

All videos for Red 1 going to poom belts and above and “double promotions” recommendations must be pre-recorded and email to colournpoom.grading@gmail.com by the 5th May 2022.

All payments and the grading cards for the 184th grading must be submitted by the 25th May 2022 or late payment fees will be imposed.

Important note for all video/s submission:

  1. All videos MUST be in MP4 format. Videos not in MP4 format will be rejected.
  2. The file name and candidate name MUST be the same as that of the registered person for easy identification.
  3. All the videos taken must be in one file. You can take the videos at different time but it has to be edited / linked together as ONE file. This will help to facilitate and hasten the grading process by examiners. In the case of videos NOT linked as a single file, videos will be rejected.
  4. The video will have to be in the proper grading procedure. ie : Compulsory pattern, optional pattern(s), basic kick, followed by one round of 1 minute shadow sparring.
  5. For the PPass going for confirmation, coaches will have to indicate the comments from previous grading and which portion/s of the grading process needs to be confirmed. 
  6. DO NOT send multiple emails with the videos to the different emails as that would only clog up the emails. You will receive a reply once your email/video is received and the videos are in order.

SENIOR DAN (3rd going 4th and above)

This being the second quarter of the year’s grading, there will be a Senior Dan grading. This will be an actual live grading and it will be conducted at NTC on the 30th April 2022. The schedule and timing of the grading will be announced after closing date.

For members performing FEATS, please email to stf.grading@gmail.com on what you will be performing.
