National Development Squad (NDS) Open Selection Boot Camp 2026
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) would like to thank the participating affiliates, athletes and coaches for being part of the National Development Squad (NDS) Open Selection Boot Camp 2026 conducted from 10 to 17 January 2026. We congratulate those who have been selected to the 2026 National Programme as part of the NDS (Poomsae and Kyorugi). Please refer to the 2026 National Kyorugi and National Poomsae squad lists (Annex 2 and 3). The new inductees to the 2026 NDS (Tier C) indicated as “NEW”.
In accordance with the STF NDS 2026 Selection Policy, paragraph on “APPEALS FOR REVIEW FOR NON-SELECTION MATTERS” stated “Candidates may submit an appeal for review within TWO (2) days of the official announcement of the selection results on the STF Website to the STF Secretariat at stkdf@mail.com.” For avoidance of doubt, the appeal shall be submitted to stkdf@mail.com latest by Friday, 6 February 2026, 2359 hrs, if the candidate/club wishes to appeal.
For Foundation to Red 2, grading can only be done by qualified Grading Assessors who have successfully completed the Grading Assessor Accreditation Course and have applied for a valid Assessor licence.
Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.
Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached
For ALL candidates who are going for 1st Dan/Poom & above, please have the following documents during submission: a) Candidate’s grading card b) 1 recent IC / passport photograph of the candidate c) Form B (duly completed)
Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.
Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above
The last day of submission (Junior Red 1 & above, Senior Red 1 to 3rd Dan) is on 24 March 2026 (Tuesday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 25 March 2026 (Wednesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission within grace period. The charges are as follows:

A roll call will be taken at 1pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 9am for 1st dan going for 2nd dan, 2nd dan going for 3rd dan. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
While STF will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of the grading procedure, Candidates will take all reasonable steps to ensure their own safety at all times and will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or any of its servants, employees or agents responsible for any such injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading,

SUPPLEMENTARY GRADING
1. For clubs that wish to conduct supplementary grading for Junior 1st Poom to 4th Poom, a minimum number of 25 candidates is required.

3. An examiner will be assigned by the Federation after the closing date.
COLOUR BELTS
The last day of submission for colour belts (club grading) is on 11 May 2026 (Monday). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.
SENIOR 4TH DAN & ABOVE
1. The schedule of the grading will be announced after the closing date.
2. For those that are doing feats (senior 5th and 6th Dan), please submit to the grading department via email (stf.grading@gmail.com) on what you are going to perform for your feats before 24 March 2026 (Tuesday).
3. For the thesis component, candidates have to submit their thesis latest by 4 May 2026 (Monday). Thesis have to be emailed in to stf.grading@gmail.com
4. The last day of submission for Senior 4th Dan & above is on 24 March 2026 (Tuesday).

What is the role about?
You will be primarily responsible in formulating, developing and executing the sport pathway and capabilities development of Kyorugi in Singapore in accordance with the Singapore Taekwondo Federation’s (STF) Multi-Year Sports Plan (MYSP) and High-Performance Plan.
Under the supervision of STF’s High Performance Committee (HPC) and working closely with the Secretariat, the National Kyorugi Coach will be responsible in the following areas:
To formulate, develop and implement short term (6-month to 2-year plan, 2026 to 2027), medium term (3 to 4-year plan, 2026 to 2030, 2 x SEA Games and 1 x Asian Games cycles) and long term plans (6-year to 8-year plan and beyond) for the sport pathway and elite athlete development programmes for the National Kyorugi athletes in Singapore.
To submit regular progress reports to the STF High Performance Committee for performance tracking
To prepare and submit the Yearly Planning Instrument (YPI) for the Youth Team (Cadet & Junior) or Senior Team.
To develop customised individual plans for selected number of athletes who have been earmarked for Major Games.
To train the national athletes/national development squad in preparation for the various competitions, which includes but is not limited to the Major Games, National Championships, local and overseas competitions.
To inculcate sportsmanship and the values of required of a Team Singapore athlete.
To train national athletes to achieve podium success at: • Major Championships such as Asian Championship and World Championship. • Major Games (South-east Asian Games and Asian Games) with the goal of Olympic Games qualification.
To plan and organise training camps (local and overseas) with clear objectives and desired outcomes.
To scout/identify Cadets and Juniors/Seniors potential Kyorugi athletes and be endorsed by High Performance Committee.
To ensure that appropriate supervision, directly or indirectly, is provided to all athletes during trainings to ensure the athletes’ safety.
To engage local coaches/clubs and conduct coaching seminars/workshops/courses/clinics annually.
To mentor local coaches who are identified and recommended by High Performance Committee/the Board with the purposes as assistant national trainer(s)/coach(es) during the contract period.
Development
To partner Technical Committee and relevant Chairs to advance the knowledge of local Coaches through the Coaching Development Programmes (CDP)
To work with SportSG to develop and carry out the sport science and evidence-based development initiatives related to the Athletes Development Programmes and CDP.
To work with stakeholders such as High Performance Sports Institute to develop and implement methods for testing athletes’ potential and current athletes’ performance using sport science and technology.

Proven records of athletes’ achievement at regional/international championships and major Games preferred
Minimum 3 years of international coaching experience desired
