It’s a GOLD

One athlete…one GOLD!

Chelsea Sim did us proud by winning the Female Individual Gold Medal at the 5th Australian Open which was held on 16 and 17 August 2014 in Sydney, Australia.

The win was extremely sweet because she was the David amongst the Goliaths with the other competitors towering over her.  Nobody expected the tiny and frail looking Singaporean girl to create a buzz the minute she stepped onto the mats.  Her competitors and spectators were left in awe after watching her scintillating performance.

Chelsea was, without doubt, the runaway winner.

Kang Rui Jie, who was also selected for the tournament, was unable to compete in the event because it coincided with his examinations.
