The National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships were held from 15 to 17 and 21 to 24 April 2014 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
It had been an exciting and energy-sapping eight-day competition for participants and officials. But it was all worth it as the competition was successfully and smoothly conducted.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) was grateful to the support of officials, referees, medical team and volunteers. They were the life line of the championships. Without their untiring devotion to the operations of the competition, it would not have been possible to for the championships to be staged. The STF recognized that they were the true heroes who made the champions in the competition.
The overall and detailed results are attached.

Chelsea Sim and Kang Rui Jie, arguably two of Singapore’s best poomsae exponents, left of Seoul, Korea on 5 April 2014 to further upgrade their skills.
They had been sent to Yongin University which is known to produce some of the medal winning Korean poomsae performers. Chelsea and Kang were delighted that they were able to train with the best.
The training was arranged by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) as part of the preparation plan for potential candidates for the 2015 SEA Games which would be held in Singapore.
The STF is grateful to Professor Kim Jung Heon, who is in charge of the taekwondo programme in the University and is also the Secretary-General of the Asian Taekwondo Union, for making it possible for Chelsea and Kang to hone their skills further. The training will certainly stand them in good stead in the selection trials and the competitions they will be participating.
