The One Team Singapore Fund (OTSF) has been a driving force behind the development of Team Singapore athletes since 2017. With government matching every dollar donated and a 250% tax deduction benefit for donors, contributions to OTSF have a significant impact on the future of sports in Singapore.

In 2025, there are two major competitions whereby Kyorugi and Poomsae events will be contested:

  • 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in December, Bangkok
  • Asian Youth Games (AYG) in October, Bahrain

Our National Coaches and National Development Squad (NDS) athletes have been committed to rigorous training programmes to qualify for these prestigious Games. To better support the athletes’ aspiration and journey in representing the country at the Games, the Singapore Taekwondo Federation High Performance Committee (i.e. the Committee) is launching a fundraising effort for the STF One Team Singapore Fund High Performance Programmes (STF OTSF HPP).

The Committee aims to raise $80,000 by 18 September 2025, which will be matched dollar for dollar through the OTSF. These funds will be invested in high performance training programmes, including overseas competitions and training camps for our NDS athletes.

STF IT Sub- Committee Initiative: STF Digital Transformation Project

0

Award of STF Membership Management System to TechGrid Asia Pte Ltd

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation IT Sub-Committee (ITSC) was formed in 2020 by then the elected Board of the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF). As part of the ITSC’s mandate, the committee looked into the technological environment of the federation in its operations with its affiliates and put together a Digital Transformation Project with an objective to move existing manual operations to a centralised digital platform. This is to enable a digital platform to cater to the multiple operating needs for STF.

  1. The ITSC launched the initiative to develop modules to facilitate the various functions of the federation to primarily automate operational processes and be more efficiently. Tapping into Cloud Computing Technology, the plan is to build a centralised database and the benefits for the affiliates are reduce the duplication of submission of documents for courses/grading, improve efficiency and increased visibility.
  2. Since the incubation of the project, the project encountered various challenges including the alignment of operating models across key committees and the termination of the project through leadership transition. With the restart of the project in 2023, another year of effort was spent to revisit the tender process which led to the eventual award of this project to TechGrid Asia Pte Ltd in 2024
  3. As we move towards the next phase of this initiative, STF would like to take this opportunity to share this progressive effort by the ITSC which will include the involvement of affiliates to be a part of the initial testing and implementation phase.
  4. The project will span across the coming two years where the following phases will be rolled out:
  • Technical outline & integration workshop
  • Module construction
  • User acceptance and security testing
  • User adoption and utility rollout

More information will be posted as each stage progresses through the project.

  1. We seek the affiliates’ continued support and embark on the digital transformation journey together.

The IT Sub-Committee (2024-2026)
Chairman: Mr. Lim Peng Siah Johnny
Secretary: Mr. Benjamin Sim
Members: Mr. Teo Yeow Hong and Mr. Sean Chuah
